Conference: Medieval Iberia
The Medieval Iberia Conference marks the Գٰé of research and instruction in medieval Iberian literature and culture at ۿ۴ý's Department of Iberian and Latin American Cultures. The arrival of Vincent Barletta to the department has strengthened the ۿ۴ý medieval group by adding to its ranks one of the finest medievalists working on the Iberian Peninsula. Recalling the itinerancy of medieval scholars, the conference will begin at ۿ۴ý on October 10 and migrate to U.C. Berkeley the next day. This event also inaugurates a new phase of collaboration between the departments at both universities, something that local pundits have begun to call "transbayism" or "the Dumbarton Bridge Connection."
