Jared Holley is a PhD Candidate at the University of Cambridge, Department of Politics and International Studies, and visiting Gimon Fellow in French Political Economy at the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ University Libraries. He received an MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History from Cambridge in 2009, after having completed a BA in History at the University of Victoria. From September, he will be a Harper-Schmidt Fellow in the Classics of Social and Political Thought at the University of Chicago. This paper has roots in various components of his doctoral dissertation, entitled Eighteenth-Century Epicureanism and the Political Thought of Jean-Jacques Rousseau.

As usual, we will be meeting in Pigott Hall, Room 216. We will start at 4pm with light snacks and drinks, and proceed with a brief presentation, followed by discussion, ending around 5:30pm.Ìý
